Jim Williams is an experienced professional who began his real estate career in 1971 and earned his real estate brokers license in 1978. Jim owned and operated a number of real estate companies throughout his career including the first RE/MAX franchise in Windsor, Ontario. He is currently president of RE/MAX Capital Inc. Brokerage, which specializes in the leasing and sale of industrial, commercial and investment (ICI) real estate.

Jim made the decision to specialize in ICI real estate and has done so since 1984. Realizing that this career direction would require extensive specialized knowledge, Jim completed a graduate-level program, which culminated in his receiving the CCIM designation in 1999. The CCIM designation is held by only 4% of real estate practitioners and requires a high level of experience in sales and leasing of commercial, industrial and investment real estate.

In 2003, Jim was awarded dual SIOR designations in the areas of both industrial and office real estate by the Society of Industrial and Office REALTORS©. SIOR designees are required to have completed creditable experience in the field of industrial or office real estate and must demonstrate a high-level of knowledge, professional ability, and ethical standards of practice. Worldwide, only 2,200 real estate professionals hold the SIOR designation.

Jim’s experience in ICI real estate is multi-faceted and includes, among others, the “ground-up” development of shopping plazas; the purchase, renovation and resale of shopping plazas and office buildings, large industrial sales, and investment property analysis.
